General Conference Conclusions
Are we moving as quickly as we should?This is the question which World SB14 Barcelona Conference was looking to answer and that guides these General Conclusions, gathered by the Scientific Committee after analysis all Conference contributions
A Global Vision
After three days of intense work and exchange of ideas and knowledge, World SB14 Barcelona has developed the “Barcelona Manifesto”. This document recognises the urgency with which the sector must become aware of the problems that affect it, from a global point of view, and provide solutions immediately.
Creating New Resources
World SB14 Barcelona took on a novel approach, grouping presentations in Sessions under several title questions related to the Conference goals, born from the content of the papers received and peer reviewed by the Scientific Committee. Thus, each Conference session gave an answer to its title question as a conclusion of the debate that took place.
These answers are the conclusions of this area.
Transforming Reality
World SB14 Barcelona also looked to involve all building stakeholders, those who work on site every day, transforming reality and giving answers to the problems and challenges of today. It is them who must put together available tools, building and developing action plans to face the future.
And so this area was born. A novel “Call for Sessions” which allowed businesses, administrations, institutions, independent professionals, etc. to put before the Scientific Committee complete sessions directed towards precise questions, studying the keys to reach the Conference objectives in depth, and gathering their experience in the areas related to the Conference topics.
